Storyline: Prey takes place 300 years ago in the Great Plains. A young Comanche woman named Naru wants to be a hunter like her brother. However, her tribe does not think she is ready.

One day, she sees a strange sign in the sky. It is a Predator spaceship arriving from another world. Consequently, a very dangerous alien hunter begins moving through the forest.

Meanwhile, Naru tries to track a mountain lion. But then, she finds much larger, stranger tracks. Furthermore, she discovers huge skinned animals hanging from trees. Therefore, she knows something new and terrifying is hunting in their land.

First, French fur traders capture her and her brother. Then, the Predator attacks their camp. It kills many people with its advanced weapons. Naru manages to escape, but she is now alone.

Consequently, she must use all her skills to survive. She studies the Predator's behavior and learns it hunts using heat vision. So, she covers herself in cool mud to become invisible to it.

Finally, she lures the Predator into a trap. She uses the environment, her intelligence, and her weapons against the powerful alien. After a difficult fight, she defeats the Predator and cuts off its head.

In the end, she returns to her tribe as a proven warrior. She brings the Predator's skull as proof of her great achievement, showing that the best hunter does not need the strongest weapons, but the smartest mind.
