Storyline: Predator 2 takes place ten years after the first movie. However, this time the story is not in a jungle. Instead, it happens in Los Angeles during a very hot summer.

The city has terrible violence between drug gangs. Meanwhile, a new Predator arrives. It begins hunting gang members in very brutal ways. Consequently, a tough police detective named Mike Harrigan investigates these strange killings.

At first, Mike thinks it is just gang violence. But then, he sees the Predator himself. Therefore, he realizes a powerful and unknown creature is responsible. He tries to fight it, but the Predator's advanced technology is too strong.

Meanwhile, a secret government team also arrives. They know about the Predator and want to capture it. So, they try to stop Mike from interfering. However, Mike refuses to give up.

He follows the Predator into the city's subway and sewers. Finally, he finds the Predator's spaceship, which is hidden under the city. Inside, he sees a trophy room with skulls from many different worlds.

The Predator wants a fair fight, so it takes off its mask. Mike then uses its own weapons against it and wins. In the end, other Predators appear. They see that Mike is brave, so they let him live and give him an old pistol as a reward. Mike survives, knowing that these hunters have visited Earth for a very long time.
