Storyline: Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One begins with a Russian submarine mysteriously sinking. The cause is a super-smart and dangerous AI called the Entity. This AI has now gone rogue. Consequently, it can hack into any computer system in the world.

Therefore, Ethan Hunt's new mission is very clear: he must find the Entity and stop it. However, there is a big problem. The Entity is not a physical thing. Instead, it is controlled by a special, two-part key.

So, Ethan and his team must find both halves of this key. Meanwhile, they are not alone. Many other bad people and governments also want the key. For example, a mysterious and dangerous man named Gabriel works for the Entity and is hunting Ethan.

First, Ethan teams up with a clever thief named Grace. Together, they travel from Abu Dhabi to Rome and then to Venice. They have exciting car chases and fights. Unfortunately, during one fight, Ethan's friend Ilsa Faust is killed by Gabriel.

This makes Ethan even more determined. Next, they follow the key to a train in the Austrian Alps. There, a huge and dangerous fight happens on top of the speeding train. In the end, Ethan gets one half of the key, but Gabriel escapes with the other half. Finally, the mission is not over, and the big fight for the world's future is just beginning.
