Storyline: Deadpool begins by introducing Wade Wilson. He is a former soldier, and now he works as a tough guy for hire. Soon after, he meets a woman named Vanessa. They fall deeply in love, and for a while, life is perfect. However, this happiness is shattered when Wade is diagnosed with cancer. Consequently, he feels completely hopeless.

At this point, a mysterious man approaches him with an offer. The man promises a secret cure. As a result, a desperate Wade agrees. He goes to a secret lab, but the leader there, a man named Ajax, actually tortures him for days. Ultimately, this painful process unlocks a superpower: Wade can now heal from any injury. Because of his new appearance, Wade is too ashamed to return to Vanessa. Instead, he becomes Deadpool, putting on a red suit. His main goal is to find Ajax for revenge. During his quest, he even meets two X-Men, Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead, who try to recruit him.
