Storyline: Captain America: Civil War begins when the Avengers accidentally cause a major disaster during a mission. As a result, governments around the world become very worried. Therefore, they create a set of strict rules called the Sokovia Accords to control the Avengers.

Iron Man strongly supports these new rules because he feels guilty about their past mistakes. However, Captain America completely disagrees with him. He believes that superheroes should remain free to make their own decisions.

Meanwhile, a terrible bomb explosion happens at a United Nations meeting. Immediately afterward, everyone blames the Winter Soldier, Bucky Barnes. Consequently, Captain America decides he must protect his old friend. So he teams up with several other heroes including Falcon and Hawkeye.

Afterward, Captain America and Bucky discover that a man named Zemo actually caused the bombing. They immediately follow him to a secret Siberian base. Meanwhile, Iron Man learns the truth and follows them there too.

At the base, Zemo shows shocking video proof that the Winter Soldier killed Iron Man's parents years earlier. This revelation makes Iron Man incredibly angry. Therefore, he attacks Bucky fiercely. Captain America quickly defends his friend, leading to a brutal three-way fight.

In the end, Captain America defeats Iron Man but leaves his shield behind. The movie concludes with the Avengers completely divided, Captain America becoming a fugitive, and the team splitting into two separate groups.
