Storyline: Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl begins in Port Royal. A young woman named Elizabeth Swann falls into the sea while wearing a cursed gold coin. Consequently, this action alerts a ghostly pirate ship, the Black Pearl.

The ship's crew, led by Captain Barbossa, kidnaps Elizabeth. They believe she is the key to breaking their curse. This curse makes them immortal skeletons in the moonlight, unable to taste or feel.

Meanwhile, a blacksmith named Will Turner loves Elizabeth. He discovers she is in danger. Therefore, he needs help to rescue her. So, he reluctantly teams up with a quirky pirate, Captain Jack Sparrow. Jack wants his ship, the Black Pearl, back from Barbossa.

First, they steal a navy ship and race to find the Pearl. Then, they learn that Will himself has pirate blood. Furthermore, his blood is actually the final ingredient needed to break the curse.

Consequently, they travel to the secret island where the treasure is hidden. A big battle happens there between the cursed pirates and our heroes. Will finally spills his blood on the treasure chest, which breaks the curse just in time.

Suddenly, the British navy arrives and arrests Jack. However, Elizabeth helps him escape at the last moment. In the end, Will and Elizabeth are together, and Jack sails away on his beloved ship, free once more.
