Storyline: Oppenheimer tells the true story of J. Robert Oppenheimer, a brilliant physicist. First, he studies science in Europe during the 1930s. However, when World War II begins, the U.S. government recruits him for a top-secret mission called the Manhattan Project.

Consequently, Oppenheimer becomes the leader of a team of scientists. Their goal is to build the world's first atomic bomb before Nazi Germany can. Therefore, they build a secret laboratory in the desert of New Mexico. They work for years under enormous pressure.

Meanwhile, Oppenheimer struggles with the moral consequences of his work. He knows the bomb will cause unimaginable destruction. Nevertheless, he continues because he believes it is necessary to end the war.

Finally, the team successfully tests the first atomic bomb in the Trinity test. The explosion is both terrifying and awe-inspiring. Oppenheimer famously quotes Hindu scripture, feeling he has become "Death, the destroyer of worlds."

Soon after, the United States drops two atomic bombs on Japan. The war ends, but Oppenheimer is haunted by what he has created. He becomes an advocate for nuclear control. However, the government turns against him and revokes his security clearance.

In the end, the movie shows Oppenheimer as an old man, still tormented by his legacy. He helped win the war but also unleashed a power that could destroy humanity, forever changing the world and his own life.
