Storyline: Predator begins with a team of elite soldiers led by Dutch Schaefer. They are on a mission to rescue hostages in a Central American jungle. First, they attack a guerrilla camp and easily defeat the soldiers there. However, they soon realize something is wrong.

They discover skinned bodies hanging from the trees. Consequently, they understand that something else is hunting in this jungle. Meanwhile, an invisible creature starts watching them from the trees.

Suddenly, the creature attacks them one by one. It is an alien hunter, and it uses advanced technology like a cloaking device and thermal vision. Therefore, the soldiers cannot see it coming. They try to fight back, but their bullets have little effect.

As a result, the team is quickly killed. Soon, only Dutch is left. He realizes he cannot win a direct fight. So, he decides to use primitive traps instead. First, he covers himself in mud to hide his body heat. Then, he lures the creature into his trap area.

Finally, the alien removes its mask, wanting a fair fight. A brutal hand-to-hand battle begins. Dutch is badly hurt, but he manages to trigger a giant log trap. The heavy logs crush the alien creature.

In the end, Dutch is the only survivor. An army rescue helicopter arrives to save him. He escapes the jungle, but he is forever changed by his encounter with the ultimate hunter.
