Storyline: Aliens begins 57 years after the first movie. Ellen Ripley is finally found floating in space. At first, people do not believe her story about the alien. However, she soon learns that the planet from the first movie now has a human colony.

Suddenly, the company loses contact with that colony. Consequently, they ask Ripley to go back with a team of space soldiers. She agrees because she has terrible nightmares about the alien.

When they arrive, the colony is completely empty. Then, they find just one survivor: a little girl named Newt. She tells them that "monsters" killed everyone. Soon after, the alien creatures attack the soldiers. Therefore, most of the team is quickly killed.

Now, Ripley must protect Newt. They decide to blow up the entire place from their spaceship. However, first, Ripley must rescue Newt because she is captured by the aliens.

So, Ripley goes down into the alien nest. There, she discovers a huge Alien Queen laying eggs. The Queen is very angry. Consequently, a big fight happens. Ripley uses a giant robot suit to fight the Queen.

Finally, she defeats the Queen and escapes with Newt just before the whole planet explodes. In the end, Ripley and Newt safely go back to sleep for the long journey home. They are now a new family, having survived the alien terror together.
