Storyline: Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation begins with an incredible scene. Ethan Hunt is actually hanging onto the side of a giant airplane as it takes off. After this, he is trying to prove that a secret and evil organization, called the Syndicate, is real.

However, meanwhile, the CIA chief thinks the IMF is too reckless. Therefore, he shuts the entire agency down. Consequently, Ethan is now completely on his own, with no help from his government.

But first, he is captured by the Syndicate. Luckily, a mysterious woman named Ilsa Faust helps him escape. So, Ethan contacts his old friends, Benji and Luther. Together, they decide to work secretly to find the Syndicate's leader.

Next, they follow clues to an opera house in Vienna. There, they stop an assassination. Then, they travel to Morocco. There, Ethan must dive deep underwater into a super-secure computer room. He barely escapes and almost drowns.

After that, they discover a shocking truth. The Syndicate's leader is actually a former British agent named Lane. Furthermore, Ilsa is a double agent working for British intelligence.

Finally, in London, the team sets a clever trap. They trick Lane into revealing his plans. Then, they capture him in a glass box. In the end, the IMF is proven right and is reopened. Ethan and his team are heroes once again, and they welcome Ilsa as their newest member.
